Self Sufficiency on the Home Block
This workshop is for those of you who want to maximise their productive potential on a small to medium sized lifestyle block.
We are a family of 4 on a 2.2ha block. Our aim is to share with you the basic permaculture design principles, holistic grazing systems, our edible gardens and family routines that have allowed us to produce most of our own organic meat and vegetables, despite working predominantly off-site. Join us to learn how to be more resourceful and set yourself up for a healthier, happier and more resilient future.
The morning session in the garden with Nicki discusses the fundamentals of soil health, garden design, composting and growing nutritious vegetables. The afternoon with Shane will be looking at food forest design, holistic grazing methods and raising pigs.
This is an interactive session, so bring gumboots and a raincoat in case of inclement weather. Morning tea and workshop notes are provided. Please bring a plate for a shared lunch. We will provide farm grown sausages and salad.
No dates currently available, please send us a message to enquire about this workshop.
